Remembrance in Wallingford Market Place

Wallingford Town Council, alongside Rev Rice from St. Mary’s Church, is looking to make an extra special effort at this year’s Remembrance Sunday service to mark 100 years following the Armistice which ended World War 1. They have invited relatives of those who died in the World Wars – 121 men who left behind families in Wallingford and did not return – to commemorate their sacrifice.

Rev. Rice and Mayor Upcraft would like to invite Wallingford School students and their families to join them, as a single group, and lay a poppy – one each for the 121 servicemen.

If you would like to volunteer as a student representative or take part with your family, please email friends@wallingfordschool.com
