The two Christie Year 7 form groups readied themselves for a fun afternoon on Saturday. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and we were all off to watch the mighty Oxford United Football Club at the Kassam Stadium!
Some of us dressed in yellow and some of us wore flags but all of us wore our hearts on our sleeves as we cheered on our local team on an afternoon of thrills, spills and high drama. The Yellows may have eventually trounced visitors Blackpool 2 goals to 1 but we all felt that football was the true winner today.
A huge thank you to Oxford United for generously donating complimentary tickets to the school. A glorious afternoon which will stay in our minds for many years to come.
