World Book Day 4 March 2021World Book Day is a fantastic day in the library and it is a shame that we are not able to celebrate it in school. The school library will provide book tokens to all Key Stage 3 and 4 Form Tutors from 8th March 2021.

The World Book Day £1 books are a gift from booksellers, who fully fund the cost of the £1 book token redemptions. Bookshops are offering new ways to make the £1 books available, and bookshops will welcome families when they open again (the tokens will be honoured beyond 28th March – while stocks last.) Families can redeem their £1 token during lockdown when they collect essential shopping OR hold on to it to use later.

Please check https://booksellers.org.uk/wbd for information about retailers open near you and contact them for information about ways to redeem the token before you visit.

Can I use my World Book Day token online? The World Book Day book tokens cannot be used for online purchases.

How long is the £1 Book Token redemption period?

To ensure that children have more time to use their token, participating bookshops will honour tokens beyond the 28th March, whilst stocks last. Each retailer will decide whether they are able to offer £1 off other children’s titles.
