Students in Year 7 and 8 have been challenged to walk/run/jog/hop their way around our 1 mile course every lunch time in January for a maximum of 20 miles. They have been asked to collect sponsorship money to help Year 11 raise funds for their trip to Kenya with the Nasio Trust in February this year. Year 11 chose 20 miles as the orphanage they are visiting is located a 20 mile walk from the nearest medical facility. We are hoping that each student taking part will raise at least £5.

The tutor group that completes the highest average miles during January will win the opportunity to send their teacher to remove for the afternoon (sshhh - don't tell Mr Willis!). So far, it is looking very close in the competition. 210 students have taken us up on our challenge and 5 students have managed to complete the 20 miles already. 7TLE appear to be holding onto the lead by the skin of their teeth - they are closely followed by several other tutor groups.

It's definitely not too late to get involved- every mile counts!
