As most people can agree, the thought of university scares them. Throughout the day workshops took place that gave students insight to real student life and reassured them in areas where worries arose. The workshops consisted of specific subjects ranging from Midwifery to Computer Science as well as general workshops such as Student Finance. The subject workshops especially encouraged students to explore courses they didn't envision taking before the day began. Key skills were also explained to us that may become invaluable to us in the University application process, such as being able to write an effective personal statement. Overall, the structure of university lifestyle and the courses available to us became a lot more explicit, and key issues such as personal statements are no longer causing nightmares.
