"After speaking to Mr Merritt at Year 7 parents evening I discovered he has worked with asylum seekers who have come to Britain. I asked if he would come in to talk to Year 7 classes about the stories. He is spending the whole day with us and has produced a fantastic map resource for the students to see how one young girl travelled to Britain from Eritrea. He is telling this sad, yet uplifting story to the students. This fits in with our migration topic we are studying!"
