When the Casting Day finally came around I was very excited. On arrival the register was taken and as I listened to the names, I heard Annie (Year 11) had also got into Swan Lake! It was good to know that someone else had also got in from my school because of course last time, Kirsty (Year 11) had also made it through with me.

We all then went to our warm-up classes. These warm-up classes were one hour long. Following this, we went straight into the casting audition. Overall this took a few hours. At the end, they sat us all down on one side of the room. Our names were then called out and each part announced. I had been cast as a Lady in Waiting and a Hungarian Dancer.

At the end of the long four and a half hour day (not forgetting the six hour school day earlier) I was exhausted but still excited. I couldn't wait to call my Mum to tell her all about it. When I got home I had calmed down however, the real excitement was just beginning!
