    The Blackstone Library

    • Introduction

      Welcome to the School Library!

      Located just above the Sixth Form block, our library is the perfect spot for studying, researching, and reading.

      The library is open all day and is run by Mrs Saunders (Monday-Thursday) and Ms Hanley (Friday), who are always happy to help with book recommendations, research tips, or just finding the right space to study.

      What we offer:

      • Reading for pleasure: We’re passionate about reading for pleasure and hope you’ll find something you enjoy from our range of fiction titles (for KS3, KS4 and KS5), graphic novels, and our new manga section in addition to a wide range of non-fiction. We also run events and activities throughout the year to get everyone excited about books and reading.
      • Study and homework: Quiet space and resources to help with your homework, revision, and research.
      • PCs and printing: Access during break and lunch times to 8 PCs with internet access and a colour printer. Also, access the Reading Cloud – search our online catalogue of 12,000 books covering everything from fiction to reference materials.
