Change to Wallingford School's VLE News and Letters Subscription

To improve our communication, we've decided to change the subscription method of our News and Letters forum of the Parents' Area on our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Rather than asking people to opt-in, we are instead asking you to opt-out if you do not wish to receive these communications.

Being subscribed means you receive an email copy whenever we post messages to this forum. These are usually reminders of upcoming events, exam information or important news from the school. We know not everyone uses Facebook or Twitter, and we hope this is a useful alternative for getting information out to parents efficiently.

You can unsubscribe by clicking the link below. You will need to log into the VLE to complete the process. If you have not logged into the VLE before, or have forgotten your password, you can reply to this email and request to be unsubscribed. (You can reset your password using the Forgotten Password page.)

If you have any queries regarding this, please contact Bee Hibbin (bee@wallingfordschool.com). For any other queries about the VLE, contact the VLE Administrator (vle@wallingfordschool.com).

Please be aware, by unsubscribing, you might miss out on important information from the school. Here are some of the things we posted recently:

1) Uniform regulations - Changes to requirements on skirts and trousers. Read more.

2) A Level results - We wanted to improve on last year's result at 53% (A* - B), expected about 55% and hoped for 58%. To get 62% is really remarkable. We have many departments that have really excelled themselves. This is the consequence of extremely hard work given the scale of curriculum reforms with which teachers and students have had to contend. At the top end four students from Wallingford School will be starting courses at Oxbridge this year and a third of all A Level exams sat were A or A*. Read more.

3) Apprenticeship information - STFC Apprenticeships are holding an apprenticeship day on Wednesday 23rd August at their Harwell campus, for anyone over the age of 14 who is interested in finding out about their apprenticeship scheme. Read more.
