The IT department took 17 Year 9 girls to the IBM & STFC Girls in Technology Day on Tuesday. They took part in workshops demonstrating the use of innovative technology. This included looking at the use of technology in the Large Hadron Collider and small microprocessors used in cooling the Diamond Light Source at Harwell.

All workshops were taken by professionals with the opportunity to ask questions about how their career journey. Our final workshop was an interactive Arduino coding challenge…great fun!
