I hope that everyone had a good break over the half-term holiday. It’s great to be back in school and we continue to support each other through these unprecedented times.

On Monday work began in St George’s Road for a new additional car park for the school. This is an exciting development and a new chapter for the school as the purpose of the car park is to replace parking spaces which will be lost when the new teaching block at the front of the school is in place.

The plan is for this building to be completed and ready for use by the school for September 2022 and it is a really significant development for Wallingford School. There will be 20 more classrooms, which will reflect the ongoing growth in student numbers, and these will have new facilities for Science and IT teaching as well as other classrooms. Construction will begin in the Spring and we will keep all members of the school community updated with its progress.

In strange times it’s important to keep looking forward and this development is a really exciting one for the school’s future.
