Last Friday was our Year 11 Celebration Day followed by the Prom in the evening. Both were great events which encompassed fun, reflection, a few tears and a real sense of togetherness. The day was a testament to the spirit of a superb year group who have brought so much to our school and it was a pleasure to be a part of it. The hard work has continued this week with the exams kicking in properly next week and we are confident that the hard work and commitment of all of these young people will bring them the results they deserve in the summer.
Our students have been excelling in the local community over the past week. Year 10 students have been on Work Experience and very many positive reports of their engagement, maturity and conduct have been coming in all week. The Bigg Band performed outside of the school for the first time in a long while at last Saturday’s Wallingford Car Rally which was absolutely fantastic. We have also been extremely proud of our students who row at Wallingford Rowing Club for participating in 24 hour sponsored ergo last weekend to raise funds for Ukranian Aid charities – very well done to all and it was great to see them (many still in school uniform!) on BBC South News.
Finally, planning for our Enrichment Week in July is ongoing and details of what we expect to be a really good series of events and activities will be coming soon.
