A Huge Thank You From Afghanistan

Wing Commander Pip Harding (OC 78 Sqn, RAF Benson) with personnel from the Joint Aviation Group (JAG)

Year 11 collected treats for shoe boxes to Afghanistan in November and they've started arriving with the troops.

We've had word that they are delighted to have received the parcels.  They say:

It's great to receive them and know we have the support of you guys in Wallingford and others across the countryThe morale boosting shoe boxes are hugely appreciated and it's clear you all put a lot of time and effort into them. Having seen a few other parcels, I have to say Wallingford's School are the best!!

Hopefully the picture came through and in it is Wing Commander Pip Harding (OC 78 Sqn, RAF Benson) with personnel from the Joint Aviation Group (JAG). As you can see, there was plenty to go around and the chocolate was devoured in seconds. Your considered selection was perfect as most of the items are hard to come by out here and it's these little things that remind us of home.

Once again and on behalf of everyone at JAG, Camp Bastion, I would like to thank you and everybody who contributed.

We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year.

Kind regards,

Chris Ashton and all the folks at JAG
