After 6 fantastic years at the Corn Exchange café, Science Exchange Wallingford moved to a LARGER venue.  The first of our FREE science events in Wallingford School Library in January 2014 was a great success.  We are once again looking forward to welcoming you to Wallingford School on 18th March 2014 at 7.30pm.  Doors open at 7.00pm when light refreshments will be available.

Information technology is a fundamental part of our lives, whether working, shopping, using public transport, or organising our social lives.  The security of the systems we use is therefore important to all of us.  Debrett's recently named Professor Creese one of the 500 most influential people in Britain in recognition of her work in cyber security.  She has worked in industry and academia and leads research in many important areas of e-security including threat modelling and detection, network defence, and dependability & resilience.

Science Exchange Wallingford’s next meeting is at 7.30pm on Tuesday 18th March in Wallingford School Library, St George’s Road, Wallingford.  As well as being open to the local community, we are particularly keen to welcome students from Years 11, 12 and 13 at Wallingford School.  We are a café scientifique (http://www.cafescientifique.org/) which means that we have an excellent variety of speakers and there is always time for questions.

We are grateful that the support of local company Triaster, Wallingford School and the generosity of our speakers mean that each event is FREE to attend.

We live in an area rich with scientific research, we started Science Exchange Wallingford because we wanted to know more about what everyone is doing.  Why not come and find out?
