On Thursday 4th December, the Wallingford School singing group 'Decibelles', conducted and trained by Marion Nicolosi, sang a selection of songs and carols to the Residents at Winterbrook Nursing Home during the students' lunchtime. There are many positive benefits in performing to older residents, for both parties. After a chat with the Activities Coordinator, Pat Hooper, the students enjoyed some delicious homemade gingerbread biscuits! The Decibelles decided they wanted to put a collection bucket out to raise donations towards the Entertainment Fund at Winterbrook, when they performed at the Christmas Festival in Wallingford on Sunday 7th December. They went on to raise £27 at the Festival despite the very cold and wet weather.
