A message from Professor Susan Edwards, Dean of Law at the University of Buckingham:

Following on from our very successful Careers in Law Conference last year, we are delighted to inform you that we are holding one again this year on Wednesday 24th June in our Chandos Road Building.

This Conference is aimed at Lower 6th/Year 12 students who might be considering studying Law at any English or Welsh University.  We know it is a matter of major concern to all students as to what career prospects there are after committing so much time and resources to a University degree.  I attach below an agenda for the day.  The aim of the Conference will be to give students some feel for Careers in the Law.  It will cover:

1.       The nature and uses of a Qualifying Law Degree

2.       What life at the Bar is really like.

3.       What life as a Solicitor is really like – the view of a newly qualified solicitor

4.       What opportunities exist outside the profession – the public and private sector

If you would like to take up this opportunity, could you please let us know by Friday 22nd May.  Please email your request for places, or indeed for any further information to:
