A busy and purposeful first half-term of the academic year has ended with a shorter week for students in which House assemblies were a real highlight. As ever, spirits were high and the importance of participation was coupled with a keen sense of competition – these assemblies are always great fun and tee up the school community for what is to come.
I think our Year 7 students were very excited by the House assemblies and they have very much earned a well-deserved break after making a very impressive start to their Wallingford School lives. They have thrown themselves into everything and it has been a joy to be around them – well done to them all.
And in a term in which we held our Open Evening for prospective families and talked about, and demonstrated, the strength of our school community I have to say how proud we are of all of our students. They are fantastic young people to work with and make our school the special place it is.
