We were delighted to take GCSE Textile students to The Clothes Show Live in Birmingham again this year. A fantastic opportunity to see how leading fashion and beauty brands are marketed to the public, to explore how artists, craftsmen and designers use visual language to communicate their ideas and feelings.

The show provided our students with the opportunity to increase their understanding of how to apply elements of their study in a real working environment and yet again, it did this to the extreme! We had a jam-packed day; watching a live catwalk show with leading fashion designers showcasing their work, seeing some of the latest audio-visual techniques in action, talking to the professionals and asking questions on topics such as career opportunities in the fashion and retail industries. It was a wonderful day and we are very proud of the high level of behaviour and manners our students demonstrated throughout.
