On Monday 9 February we went on a trip to the Shillingford Bridge hotel for the launch of Re-FLEX. When we arrived there, we all went and sat down in a room that had a big table. We sat round and got a hot drink and biscuit each.
We participated in a variety of activities such as making boxes that we are going to open in a couple of years' time. Inside them we put three pieces of paper with different titles on each one. We did this so that we are sure of what our aims are and to try and reach our targets for a couple of years' time.
We also did an activity where we had to make a structure with straws and tape: we had to drop a golf ball from a reasonable height trying to keep the ball inside of the structure.
Mr Willis came and spoke to all of us briefly about why we are getting the opportunity to have Re-FLEX and how lucky we are to have the staff and helpers that we do.
After we ate lunch we came back to Wallingford school and all came to Re-FLEX where Miss Dow cut the ribbon on the door. When we walked in, it felt so nice as it was all new and fresh.
I really enjoyed the day out that we had because I feel like I took a lot in and I feel really happy that Mr Willis and other adults have trusted us enough to have a whole new Re-FLEX. I think Re-FLEX is really going to help us now and further on in the future as it's so much easier for everyone to learn now. I think it's a really good idea that we have split the classroom from the common room.
